Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medication Administrator to join our team at Liberty Heights. As a Medication Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans, ensuring the 6 rights of medication administration are followed.
  • Medication Inventory Management: Count and document all narcotics administered to residents, and maintain accurate records of medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of medications.
  • Medication Verification: Verify all current Medication Administration Records (MARs) are compared to new MARs at change of shift, ensuring accuracy and consistency in medication administration.
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care to residents as needed, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and eating.
  • Nursing Care: Provide general nursing care to residents, including vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights.
  • Documentation: Document all medication administration, personal care, and nursing care provided to residents in the daily log.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 6 months of experience in a senior care setting.
  • Certification: State-specific QMAP certification.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a professional and positive demeanor.
