Position: Financial Member Support Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to become part of a leading financial cooperative based in Maine. This role provides a unique opportunity to assist members in managing their financial affairs while being an integral part of a service-oriented team committed to fostering relationships and delivering exceptional support.

The Financial Member Support Specialist plays a vital role within our member contact center. Equipped with access to diverse systems and resources, you will address member inquiries, resolve account-related issues, and provide education on our products and services. Delivering this high level of service over the phone exemplifies the commitment to excellence that Town & Country Federal Credit Union is recognized for.
Key Responsibilities
The Financial Member Support Specialist will:
- Assist members with inquiries via telephone, identifying their needs and providing clear explanations of products and services.
- Resolve issues within established guidelines and redirect calls to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Maintain and update member contact information while identifying opportunities for cross-selling services.
- Utilize creative problem-solving skills and available resources to effectively address member concerns.
- Contribute to a team environment that prioritizes exceptional service to both members and internal departments.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED is required, along with one to three years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Interpersonal Skills
This position involves regular interaction with individuals outside of immediate colleagues, necessitating effective communication skills and a courteous demeanor. Strong listening abilities, sales experience, and a collaborative spirit are essential for success in this role.
Physical Demands
The physical requirements for this position include:
- Proficiently entering and locating information on a computer.
- Presenting information to individuals or groups.
- Effectively communicating in person or through electronic devices.
- Creating documents and reports using various means.
- Manipulating objects of varying sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills.
- Visually identifying and reading information, often in small print.
- Sitting for extended periods while performing job duties.
- Repetitive hand and arm motions while using a computer.
- Lifting items up to 25 lbs.
