Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Support: Assist the ISO Program Director with administrative tasks, including organizing meetings, managing communications, and maintaining documentation related to program initiatives.
  • Policy Formulation: Aid in the creation and enhancement of information security policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory mandates.
  • Service Coordination: Oversee the delivery of centrally managed cybersecurity services to meet the evolving needs of various agencies, following assessments to identify specific requirements. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and communications with stakeholders to promote collaboration and information sharing.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with statewide information technology policies and standards. Regularly review agency adherence to these directives and address any compliance issues as necessary.
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain reporting systems to monitor program performance, evaluate organizational maturity, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Representation: Act as the ISO Program representative at meetings, conferences, and relevant forums, advocating for centrally managed services and effectively communicating program objectives.
  • Continuous Enhancement: Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement within the ISO Program, integrating feedback and best practices to boost program efficiency.
  • Risk Assessment: Assist in coordinating cybersecurity assessments, reviewing security frameworks, and managing remediation efforts for identified vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work with various departments to promote the use of centrally managed services and align information security initiatives with broader organizational goals.

Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in information security, including a minimum of 3 years in cyber assessment and remediation.
  • 3 years of experience in Information System Security Management.
  • 2 years of program management experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing information security policies and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Specialized Knowledge:
  • Thorough understanding of information security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Experience in tracking the adoption of cybersecurity services.
  • Proficiency in developing strategic plans and business cases for cybersecurity initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
  • Strong familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to information security.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Project management experience, including planning and monitoring cybersecurity service delivery.
  • Experience managing large-scale cybersecurity projects.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with regulations related to information security and privacy.
