Job Summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a skilled RN Clinical Coordinator to oversee day-to-day clinic schedules and clinical team member schedules for proper practice coverage. This role requires a strong leader who can onboard and train new clinical staff, provide updates for current staff, and track clinical team members' competencies, productivity, and regular chart reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance and accuracy of clinical care to patients from our physicians and clinical staff, including charting, testing, and general delivery of medical care.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of facility, DNV, State, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
  • Provide clinical emergency procedures and conduct staff training on emergency procedures.
  • Train and monitor clinical staff to ensure high customer service levels are provided during clinic and follow-up responsibilities.
  • Act as a mentor and resource to all clinical staff within the practice and the associated service line.
  • Demonstrate and maintain a professional relationship with medical staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians, managers, and clinical team members to provide for the specialized needs of patients.
  • Monitor and support departmental productivity to meet the needs of the department.
  • Train and monitor clinical staff to any procedures completed in the office.
  • Responsible for any department specialty-specific competencies and skill validation.
  • Facilitate a work environment that reflects performance improvement and high standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in a medical office setting (Preferred)
  • 1 year of RN experience (Required)
  • 1 year of leadership experience (Preferred)

Skills and Abilities

  • Department-specific skills required for practices performing moderate sedation, including maintaining ACLS certification and yearly competency validation of moderate sedation procedures.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Virginia
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of hire for offices conducting moderate sedation, stress testing, high-risk procedures, etc.
