Compensation Range: $49,000-$62,000 annually, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical skills to diagnose and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment powered by various sources.
  • Oversee the maintenance of transmissions, chassis, drivelines, hydraulics, brakes, suspension systems, wheels, tires, undercarriages, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on small engines and outdoor power equipment.
  • Test equipment to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and operators regarding defects and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Assist in inventory management by maintaining an organized workspace and tracking tools, parts, and supplies.
  • Support the upkeep of the workspace, shop, and facilities.
  • Complete necessary documentation related to repairs, parts usage, and work orders.
  • Assist with the delivery of equipment and tools as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:

Education:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Mechanical Trade School certificate or degree preferred.
Experience:
  • At least one year of professional experience in small engine repair.
Position-Related Skills:
  • Current certification or the ability to obtain forklift certification (training available).
  • Current certification or the ability to obtain Aerial Lift certification (training available).
  • Current rigging signaling certification, or the ability to become certified (training available).
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Current DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, preferred.
Essential Functions:
  • Work involves a combination of stationary and mobile tasks, with up to 75% of the day spent outdoors.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and work in confined spaces.
  • Frequent use of machinery and tools for various tasks.
  • Specific vision abilities required for close inspection and operation of machinery.
  • Effective hearing to communicate in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to speak clearly and be understood in various settings.
  • Must be able to lift or manipulate up to 25 pounds.
  • Regular bending, twisting, kneeling, and crawling required.
  • Constant mental alertness and attention to detail necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential.
