The Assistant Nurse Manager is a key role in the Brain Health Unit, responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager and ensuring positive patient outcomes, staff engagement, and operational excellence.

This role requires a strong clinical background, with the ability to maintain basic nursing skills and demonstrate competence in clinical, ethical, and legal aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Nurse Manager in improving and sustaining positive patient outcomes
  • Foster a culture of staff engagement and teamwork
  • Ensure operational excellence and efficient use of resources
  • Maintain basic nursing skills and demonstrate competence in clinical, ethical, and legal aspects of patient care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in acute care nursing
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • ACLS certification within 6 months (if applicable)
