This position offers a unique opportunity to become a vital member of our esteemed Division of Neurological Rehabilitation within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at MHS and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). The role will significantly impact both the clinical and academic objectives of the MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute's Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program, integrating research and clinical practice in the domain of brain injury. Candidates interested in research will have designated time for scholarly activities, along with mentorship and career development support.

Clinical responsibilities encompass a comprehensive range of Brain Injury management, including acute inpatient rehabilitation, hospital consultations, skilled nursing evaluations, and outpatient procedures such as chemodenervation and neurolysis. Academic duties involve the education and training of Brain Injury Medicine fellows, PM&R residents, and medical students from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). Candidates must possess board certification in PM&R and complete ACGME fellowship training in Brain Injury Medicine (BC/E). Academic appointments in PM&R will align with the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Affiliated with the prestigious CWRU School of Medicine, MHS features a 355-bed academic medical center, recognized as a Level I Trauma and Burn Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and holds Magnet certification for nursing excellence. The MetroHealth Center for Rehabilitation Research is engaged in pioneering rehabilitation studies and has secured over $92 million in external research funding. ACGME training programs include a PM&R residency and fellowships in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, Brain Injury Medicine, and Pain Medicine. The Department of PM&R at CWRU, located at MHS, is distinguished for its achievements in NIH funding.
