Job Overview

As an Automation Specialist at Salcomp Manufacturing USA, you will play a key role in designing, testing, and deploying data communication channels between disparate systems through APIs. Your primary objective will be to enable seamless data exchange and functionality between different applications on-premises, cloud services, and external third-party systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with front-end, back-end, and orchestration layer developers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience
  • Design and implement integration processes, including planning, designing, documenting, and testing
  • Develop and execute test cases to validate the functionality, reliability, and scalability of APIs
  • Provide technical support for API products, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Stay up-to-date with technological advancements and best practices in API development to continuously improve existing APIs

Requirements

  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to analyze information, communicate processes, and exhibit excellent follow-up skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask to meet deadlines
  • Successful track record of managing engagements of all sizes and durations
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two years of engineering experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Knowledgeable in technologies such as PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL, and Historian
