We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Applied Industrial Technologies. As a key member of our service center team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, expediting service center inquiries and orders, and ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process service requests from service centers, including orders, inquiries, and issues
- Expedite order inquiries, check order status, and follow up on backorders and lost orders
- Investigate defects, damages, and incorrect shipments, and make emergency calls and deliveries as required
- Manage assigned product lines, in cooperation with Corporate Departments, to achieve maximum service level within established inventory guidelines
- Process vendor debit memos and returns, and coordinate with Corporate Purchasing to process vendor returns
- Perform computer receiving functions, and assist service centers in estimating needs and quoting prices on parts and replacements
- Process service center telephone orders, price and delivery inquiries, and participate in or handle associated servicing and clerical reporting activities
- Equivalent to high school plus specialized training in customer service practices and office functions
- 1-3 years business or customer service experience
