Job Overview

Job Summary

The Respiratory Care Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner, performing a range of respiratory care procedures, including oxygen supply systems, equipment processing, and patient reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer oxygen therapy and humidity and aerosol therapy
  • Operate small volume nebulizer therapy and MDI administration
  • Perform incentive spirometry and non-invasive mechanical airway clearance therapy
  • Conduct chest physiotherapy with suctioning and arterial puncture
  • Assist with electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Care Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required, with college courses in Respiratory Therapy
  • Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications required

Work Schedule

7am-7pm shifts, with occasional weekend and on-call requirements.
