Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to all age groups, including invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, airway management, aerosol medication administration, chest physical therapy, routine and advanced oxygen therapy, blood gas acquisition and analysis, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiogram acquisition and management, code blue and rapid response participation, neonatal resuscitation support at high-risk infant deliveries, ventilator patient transport, and respiratory-focused patient teaching.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide respiratory care services to patients of all ages
• Manage ventilators and airways
• Administer aerosol medications
• Perform chest physical therapy
• Provide routine and advanced oxygen therapy
• Acquire and analyze blood gas samples
• Conduct pulmonary function tests
• Acquire and manage electrocardiogram data
• Participate in code blue and rapid response situations
• Provide neonatal resuscitation support at high-risk infant deliveries
• Transport ventilator patients
• Teach patients about respiratory care

Requirements
• 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy
• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 1 year of hire

Work Schedule
7:00am - 7:00pm, Monday - Friday
Every third weekend
Call requirements: Yes
