Job Summary:
The State of Utah is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative/Claims Examiner to join our team. As a Medicaid Claims Examiner II, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to the medical community and public, while also processing and adjudicating claims in accordance with Medicaid guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer calls and respond to inquiries regarding Medicaid benefits, claims, billing practices, and other related information.
- Adjudicate claims and respond to phone, electronic, fax, and mail inquiries regarding the status and correction of claims.
- Explain and interpret Medicaid billing policies, guidelines, benefits, and procedures.
- May spend time in the document control area.
Requirements:
- Experience processing and adjusting electronic and paper claims.
- Experience with medical billing or collections.
- Excellent customer service skills.
