Job Summary:

The Commonwealth of Virginia seeks a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its team. As a key member of the Finance & Administration department, this individual will be responsible for managing and optimizing energy usage on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct energy audits to identify areas of inefficiency
  • Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives
  • Monitor energy usage and costs
  • Assist with negotiating energy contracts
  • Educate staff on energy conservation and efficiency practices

Requirements:

  • Considerable knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools to analyze and resolve telecommunications and control problems
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, pneumatic, and digital controls

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of Johnson Controls ADX, Lutron Lighting Control System, and Automated Logic Corporation (WebCtrl software)
