Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Southwire Company, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in Monroe Township, NJ. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and developing effective EHS strategies to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards and risks.
  • Provide training and education to employees on EHS procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and injuries, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with site managers and EHS personnel to develop and implement effective EHS strategies.
  • Manage incident reporting and tracking, and communicate with regulatory agencies as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline or other program applicable to the health, safety and environmental fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in industrial health, safety, and environmental activities.
  • Working knowledge of the VPP process and various safety regulations or standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, etc...).
  • Professional certification is desired.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours or shifts.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, along with exceptional interpersonal skills.
