The Medical Operations Analyst is responsible for evaluating essential military medical capabilities that are vital for supporting operational forces. This role involves conducting thorough analyses, assessing policies, and ensuring compliance and effectiveness in military operational medical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze the organizational structure and missions of the Defense Health Agency, Services, Joint Staff, and Combatant Command.
- Collaborate with experts from various military services and agencies to understand the Department of Defense (DoD) Military Health System comprehensively.
- Utilize rigorous analytical methodologies to assist in the development of current and future Joint operational medical force planning and modernization efforts.
- Monitor compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of military operational medical readiness and ongoing support initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of active duty experience in military medical roles, focusing on operational medical capabilities and combat operations.
- Experience in leadership training and exercise planning within the DoD.
- In-depth knowledge of the DoD Military Health System and military services' medical operational capabilities.
- Strong ability to conduct independent analysis of medical strategic and operational plans, policies, and doctrines.
- Effective communication skills to engage with senior military personnel.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Possession of a Secret clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (5+ years) in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with medical planning tools and data.
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- A Master's degree in a relevant field.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
