About the Job
  • This role involves performing pre-analytic phases of laboratory testing procedures and may also involve analytic and post-analytic phases of waived testing procedures.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for face-to-face and telephone customer service, computer data entry and retrieval, workplace cleanliness and maintenance.
Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

  • Collects specimens for lab testing and processes them according to laboratory procedures.
  • Accesses specimens, retrieves information, and enters results into the computer system.

Administrative Duties:

  • Participates in Performance Improvement activities, performs maintenance, and teaches phlebotomy students and employees.
  • Serves as a frontline resource to laboratory customers and assists in the review and updates of laboratory procedure manuals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must have:

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
  • A Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certificate within 6 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who have recently completed a phlebotomy program or have recent phlebotomy and clinical laboratory experience.
