Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Cornerstone Concilium, Inc. in Dublin, CA.

The estimated salary for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.

Cornerstone Concilium, Inc. is a professional firm formed in 1986 to provide architecture, engineering, and management consulting services within the facilities, transportation, and technology industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Contract Understanding: Develop a full understanding of the scope and interdependence of all Contract Documents for Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build Projects.
  2. Coordinate with PMT: Coordinate and facilitate with Program/Project Management Team (PMT), Design Professionals to obtain the Owner's decisions as necessary during all Program and Project phases.
  3. Lead Bid Processes: In conjunction with PMT, lead selective bid processes during procurement phases and assists Owner and Project Manager in initiating, evaluating, reviewing, and recording of bids.
  4. Interface with Outreach Coordinator: Interface with Outreach Coordinator to achieve target mandates in SLEB participation.
  5. Observe and Record Jobsite Activity: Observe and record jobsite activity in accordance with required contractual frequency. Identify and resolve challenges to schedule and cost issues.
  6. Manage Document Control: Manage effective document control mechanisms for the Project to ensure that work is performed in accordance with contract documents.
  7. Evaluate Change Orders: Evaluate change order requests including design changes, specifications, and drawing releases and report status.
  8. Review Submittals: Review and evaluate submittals of shop drawings, material data, technical information, and samples and take appropriate action based upon contract specifications.
  9. Assist Project Managers: Assist all Project Managers in identifying and resolving technical issues during submittal phase.
  10. Monitor Contractor's Process: Monitor the Contractors' Submittal and RFI processes to ensure cost and schedule-efficient Project Administration.
  11. Coordinate Conflict Resolution: Become familiar with all schedules and coordinate resolution of conflicts between Projects.
  12. Review Daily Method of Procedures: Review and evaluate Contractors' daily Method of Procedures and assist Project Managers with daily communications with Santa Rita Jail (SRJ) Project Team.
  13. Participate in Meetings: Participate in meetings, coordinates agendas, and follows up on action items.
  14. Maintain Safe Work Environment: Utilize safe work practices and follow directives, policies, and procedures for assisting and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
  15. Become Familiar with Safety Requirements: Become familiar with safety requirements of the Project and monitor compliance.
  16. Practice Effective Communication: Practice effective communication and maintain professional relationships with GSA and SRJ Projects.
  17. Close-Out Activities: Participate in all Project Close-Out activities and requirements in accordance with contract documents.
