RMA Technician Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a skilled RMA Technician to work with a client in Fremont. This position can be a temp-to-hire opportunity based on performance. The role is 100% onsite and day shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and determine the root cause of failure for RMA chassis, utilizing technical expertise to identify and resolve issues.
  • Estimate labor and materials required for repair or upgrade of RMA chassis, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Install electro-mechanical components, test chassis for functionality, and perform mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate effectively with the team, recommending and generating DDR changes as needed to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Perform self-inspection according to Manufacturing Checklist, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, receiving technical guidance from engineering as needed for complex RMA chassis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to suggest changes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide comprehensive reports of evaluated/analyzed RMA chassis.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, mechanical hand tools, and basic formulas for calculating electrical circuit parameters.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and wiring diagrams, as well as written instructions.
  • Good math skills and manual dexterity, with the ability to lift/carry a minimum weight of 50 pounds.
  • AA/Technical Certification, Diploma in Electronics or equivalent, with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
