Electro-Mechanical Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our team in Fremont, CA. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and testing of complex chassis. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations, as well as knowledge of parts and electrical peripherals for various Elma chassis models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and support to junior personnel
  • Perform mechanical repair, troubleshoot wiring, and test complex units
  • Communicate effectively with team members and recommend changes to documents as needed
  • Perform self-inspection according to Manufacturing Checklist
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Ability to read and work from mechanical and wiring diagrams and written instructions
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems in electrical circuitry and basic exposure to electronic circuits
  • Knowledge and understanding of formulas to calculate electrical voltage, current, power, resistor values, etc.
  • Ability to provide guidance to entry-level personnel
  • Ability to understand and configure electro-mechanical component requirements through Assembly work order instructions and B.O.M
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to perform minor rework, test, and troubleshooting of both mechanical and electrical operation of chassis
  • Familiarity with electronic components and mechanical hand tools
  • Good oral and written communication skills and math skills
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of related experience
