Job Summary

Moss is a leading national construction firm providing innovative solutions for award-winning projects. As a Solar Early-Stage Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering fully contracted projects, including LNTPs and EPC Agreement, to Operations. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing project estimates, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project estimates and proposals to understand EPC scope and design assumptions
• Lead contract review and negotiations with the Operations, Risk, Contract Management, and Legal teams
• Procure Owner-provided information to support project-specific design
• Create baseline and target schedules with the Scheduling and Operations teams
• Perform cash flow analysis to ensure project cash positivity
• Maintain a filing system for project documents and ensure folder structure consistency
• Inform Owners of cost and schedule updates to develop a Limited Notice to Proceed for Early Works
• Develop and execute Early Works Agreements with engineering and racking vendors
• Manage Due Diligence and Design processes, coordinating with engineers, safety, and utility locates
• Coordinate with Engineering on deliverables, document review, and geotechnical testing requirements
• Manage the review and finalization of Owner contracts, including Scheduling, Warranty, Commissioning, Safety, Quality, and Engineering
• Lead permitting processes during preconstruction and hand off to Project Management
• Conduct regular Owner meetings with relevant stakeholders
• Provide weekly reports on schedule, key open items, and budget tracking

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as an Early-Stage Project Manager in the Solar/EPC construction industry
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with Owners, A/E teams, building departments, and team members
• Strong leadership and cultural development skills, including coaching, mentoring, and building motivated teams
• Highly developed project management finance skills
