Position Overview: Caregiver at Senior Living Recruiting Specialist

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Communication: Engage with the team lead at the conclusion of each shift to relay essential information regarding resident care and any significant changes.
  • Emergency Response: Promptly inform the team lead of any urgent situations involving residents and ensure proper documentation is completed before the end of your shift.
  • Care Familiarity: Review and understand each resident's service plan and history to provide tailored care.
  • Social Engagement: Foster social interactions among residents by utilizing their personal histories and interests.
  • Daily Assignments: Review daily task sheets at the start of each shift and ensure all duties are completed and signed off.
  • Accurate Timekeeping: Maintain daily time sheets with precision.
  • Resident Transitions: Assist with the admission, discharge, and transfer processes of residents as needed.
  • Personal Care: Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report any facility-related issues to the appropriate personnel or submit maintenance requests as necessary.
  • Dining Assistance: Support residents during meal times by serving food, clearing tables, and managing room setups.
  • Quality Standards: Adhere to all established quality standards and core values of the organization.
  • Responsiveness: Answer call lights promptly and document actions taken.
  • Resident Support: Provide escorts for residents to meals and activities as required.
  • Health Monitoring: Report any physical, mental, or emotional changes in residents to nursing staff.
  • Team Participation: Attend and engage in regular staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Collaboration: Promote teamwork and cooperation across shifts and departments.
  • Equipment Security: Ensure the safe transfer and management of community equipment.
  • Reporting Protocol: Follow the established chain of command for reporting concerns or incidents.
  • Language Requirement: Communicate in English during direct interactions with residents and in communal areas.
  • Confidentiality: Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management as needed.
