About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care of Glenview. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and live comfortably in their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and conversation to clients, engaging them in activities and stimulating their minds
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences
  • Assist with bathing and grooming, ensuring clients' personal hygiene and dignity are maintained
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks, keeping clients' living spaces clean and organized
  • Accompany clients on shopping trips, errands, and transportation, providing support and assistance as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship
Requirements
  • Previous caregiving experience is preferred, but not required
  • A passion for caregiving and a desire to make a positive impact on clients' lives
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and support, with a focus on empathy, patience, kindness, and respect
  • Ability to carry out direction, both verbal and written, and effectively manage the demands of the job
