Shift: Days

The Community You Will Serve: AdventHealth Connerton

· A specialty facility for patients with complex medical needs

· Recognized Pulmonary and Vapotherm Center of Excellence

· Team composed entirely of Registered Respiratory Therapists, with 65% holding BSN or higher degrees, and current staff certifications including CCRN, PCCN, CNML, WCNC, NEA-BC, and RN-BC

· Partnership with South University for an onsite BSN completion program at a discounted rate for staff

· Access to a Simulation Lab and Clinical Transition Pilot Program

· Complimentary preparatory courses for national certifications

Your Role:

The Respiratory Care Equipment Technician operates under the guidance of the respiratory department leadership and licensed respiratory care practitioners to prepare, transport, set up, and verify respiratory care equipment in both standard and emergency scenarios, including the management and distribution of medical gas cylinders across all patient care areas.

Your Contributions to the Team:

· Interacts courteously with both internal and external customers, ensuring prompt communication regarding respiratory supplies and medical gas concerns.

· Exhibits professional phone etiquette.

· Shows respect for colleagues and fosters positive relationships with other departments.

· Provides essential non-direct patient care support for the respiratory therapy department.

· Manages and distributes medical gas cylinders, including inventory control and transportation to all patient care areas.

Qualifications:

The Skills and Experience Required for Success:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Prior experience in hospital materials management is preferred.

· Currently enrolled in a 2-year accredited Respiratory Care Program.

· Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
