Trauma Surgery APP - Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

This role requires a Nurse Practitioner (NP) employed by VHC Health Physicians to complete an NP Agreement with their Collaborating Physician(s). The NP Agreement will outline the NP's role and function, NP/Physician Relationship, Functions of the NP, Privileges/Procedures, Prescriptive Authority, Documentation Responsibilities, and Evaluation process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individual objectives and performance metrics.
  • Implement quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs.
Requirements:
  • Masters in Nursing Required.
  • Two Years Nurse Practitioner Experience Preferred.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) by the Virginia Department of Health Professions Required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions Required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Patient Care: Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Cope with mental and emotional stress associated with this position.
  • Operate office machines safely and in accordance with hospital Safety Standards.
Working Conditions:
  • Works in well-lighted/ventilated office/clinical setting.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Subject to long hours, changing shifts.

The estimated annual salary is $80,000-$120,000.
