Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Performance Improvement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting trauma quality and performance improvement data from medical records and other resources. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the continuous improvement of our trauma services.
About the Role
The Trauma Performance Improvement Specialist will work closely with the Trauma Coordinator and Medical Director to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance our trauma services. Key responsibilities will include:
• Collecting and analyzing trauma data from medical records and other sources
• Developing and implementing performance improvement initiatives to enhance trauma care
• Collaborating with the trauma team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for change
• Analyzing and reporting trauma data to stakeholders
• Providing training and education to the trauma team on best practices and performance improvement techniques
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as healthcare or business) and 5 years of experience in healthcare, emergency services, critical care, or critical care transport
• Certification as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or compact state, nationally registered Paramedic, or state certified Paramedic
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and computer literacy
• Mastery in working with Excel spreadsheets
