Sonatech, a leading provider of advanced SONAR solutions for the US Navy, is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical/electronic design concepts and implementing them into finished working designs in support of the development of next-generation SONAR systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analog and digital circuits to support acoustic navigation and location devices
  • Develop electrical/electronic design concepts and implement them into finished working designs based on specification requirements and inputs from customers and other engineers
  • Identify tasks associated with existing projects and estimate manpower and other resources required to execute objectives
  • Review requirements for printed circuits, perform schematic and layout design of new boards
  • Perform design analysis and create circuit-level tests to establish the validity of designs, including thermal effects and power dissipation
  • Develop or specify test methods and associated test equipment to verify board function
