Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography testing, assisting physicians in delivering safe patient care, and working collaboratively with healthcare teams to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all types of echocardiography testing, including transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echo
  • Capture digital cardiac images and perform measurements correctly, recognizing pathology and customizing exams as needed
  • Participate in practice performance improvement activities to impact patient and service outcomes
  • Responsible for daily quality control of equipment and escalating issues as needed
  • Participate in orientation of new employees as needed
Requirements
  • Technical Diploma from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program
  • Appropriate credential in echocardiography, such as ARDMS or CCI
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience performing echocardiography with various manufacturer echo machines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current and valid BLS certification
  • Years of experience as an Echocardiography technologist in an outpatient setting
