We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team on a per diem basis in our Cardio NonInvasive department. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all types of Echocardiography testing, assisting physicians in delivering safe and age-appropriate patient care, and working collaboratively with RNs and MDs to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echo, and other Echocardiography tests as required.
- Respond to stat calls and report life-threatening pathology to attending physicians or fellows.
- Prepare echocardiogram procedures, including equipment, supplies, and paperwork.
- Participate in orientation of new employees and daily quality control of equipment.
To qualify for this role, you must have a Technical Diploma and be a graduate from an Accredited Cardiac Ultrasound program. You must also hold an appropriate credential in echocardiography, such as ARDMS or CCI, and have current and valid BLS certification. Strong communication, detail orientation, customer service, and multitasking skills are also required.
Preferred QualificationsExperience performing echocardiography with various manufacturer echo machines is preferred. Current and valid BLS certification for outpatient facilities is also preferred.
