Job Summary

Talent Finders, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join its team. As a key member of the Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Support: Provide technical expertise to ensure the efficient production of complex engine components, focusing on process improvements, product quality, and cost reduction.
  • Manufacturing Process Development: Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs), routers, and work instructions for high-value processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Visual Management Tools: Collaborate with department supervisors to deploy visual management tools, enhancing productivity and quality control.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize product flow through the manufacturing process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Capital Equipment Acquisition: Evaluate and justify the purchase of new capital equipment, conducting cost-benefit analyses to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Process Equipment Qualification: Qualify, document, and implement new process equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Capacity Planning: Identify key capacity constraints and develop solutions to address them, including the acquisition of new machines, tooling, or fixturing.
  • Material Review Board: Participate in the Material Review Board, assessing and disposing of non-conformances, conducting failure analysis, and providing corrective action.
  • Vendor Performance Improvement: Collaborate with outside processing vendors to conduct root cause/corrective actions and improve overall vendor performance.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the aerospace or defense industry, with a focus on precision machining and process development.
  • Skills: Familiarity with CNC mill/lathe operation and programming, experience with APQP, and working proficiency with DFMEA and PFMEA methodology.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead effective change initiatives.
