Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets for the hotel. This role involves effectively soliciting and securing new business opportunities, working closely with the Director of Sales to achieve revenue and market share goals. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategies to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets
  • Manage relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to achieve revenue and market share goals
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within the market to inform sales strategies
  • Develop a deep understanding of the hotel's operations and policies to effectively communicate with clients
  • Represent the hotel at industry events and conferences to build relationships and drive business growth
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of sales and marketing initiatives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous hotel sales experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and/or corporate clients
  • Experience with professional selling skills, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, with strong organization and presentation skills
