Concrete Foreman Job Description

At Stevens Construction Corp., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Foreman to join our team. As a Concrete Foreman, you will be responsible for leading our concrete crews and assisting the Concrete Superintendent with the coordination of all concrete materials, accessories, and installations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Field Leadership and subcontractors to understand daily construction activities and assignments, ensuring the successful execution of construction goals throughout projects.
  • Lead and provide direction to onsite concrete crews, while training and mentoring team members to achieve high-quality results.
  • Perform concrete layout activities, establishing elevations from given benchmarks to ensure accurate placement of concrete.
  • Motivate workers to achieve desirable production rates, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency.
  • Review and interpret blueprints/shop drawings and other project documents with the project team to formulate an approach and execute installation.
  • Set the standard for quality of work, ensuring that all concrete installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Communicate and monitor work performed to ensure proper assembly and installation, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Utilize effective and proper communication with crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Provide feedback for field employee reviews, promoting growth and development within the team.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Lead by example, understanding and enforcing Stevens' safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Concrete Foreman or Superintendent role, with a proven track record of success in leading concrete crews.
  • Commercial construction experience, with a strong understanding of concrete installation and layout.
  • Proven ability to review and interpret blueprints/shop drawings, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track record of strong attendance, positive attitude, and willingness to learn, with a strong commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Proven ability to perform at a high level under strict deadlines, with a strong sense of urgency and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with field leaders and crew members, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Understands timelines given and deadlines, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and stay organized, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to take direction and delegate duties, with a strong sense of leadership and a willingness to empower team members.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks to meet given deadlines, with a strong emphasis on efficiency and productivity.
