Ceco Concrete Construction is a leading provider of concrete construction services, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a concrete construction intern.
As a concrete construction intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the planning and execution of concrete construction projects. You will work closely with our experienced project managers and engineers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and estimating stage of projects to ensure efficient, safe, and economical form systems are incorporated into the project design.
- Prepare accurate formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for field crews.
- Monitor the safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve concerns regarding structural design with the project team.
- Prepare quantity surveys, formwork estimates, and project proposals.
- Coordinate material purchases, deliveries, tracking, and forecasting to ensure maximum utilization of Ceco's physical resources.
- Manage special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Requirements:
- In the process of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
- Some knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM Modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to travel and work for an extended period of time on projects outside of the office area.
