Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently register patients in Epic, ensuring all necessary information is collected and updated.
  • Monitor and manage patient schedules to ensure timely and efficient flow through the clinic.
  • Review patient accounts to determine financial responsibility and arrange payment plans as needed.
  • Assist patients in accessing government and community resources to enhance their access to healthcare services.
  • Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to ensure referrals to other providers, services, or facilities are completed in accordance with payor requirements.
  • Facilitate patient access to information, including MyChart access.
  • Accurately update patient records as needed.
  • Enter and update charges accurately and as necessary.

Clinic Operations

You will actively support clinic, hospital, and health system initiatives related to improvement in day-to-day operations. This includes managing cash in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure accurate payment crediting and secure cash handling.

Performance Excellence

You will actively support our organization's performance excellence initiatives, performing duties in a manner that results in improved patient outcomes and satisfaction scores. You will also utilize your initiative to make suggestions that improve the patient experience and the environment of care.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of relevant experience in customer service, billing, registration, finance, or accounting in a medical office, hospital setting, or insurance office.
  • Bachelor's degree substitutes for required experience.
  • Professional demeanor, excellent customer service skills, ability to multi-task, critical thinking, and demonstrated computer literacy.
