Corestaff is the designated MSP resourcing partner for Porsche Cars North America, overseeing contractor roles within their extensive contingent workforce program. This position is a Corestaff contract role based at Porsche Cars North America in Atlanta, GA.

Position Summary

  • Advise and execute restoration tasks on various components including engines, transmissions, bodywork, electrical systems, and suspension parts, adhering to Porsche Classic restoration criteria.
  • Conduct maintenance operations, encompassing both major and minor services, tire and wheel replacements, and additional necessary repairs in line with Porsche standards.
  • Review service orders and engage in discussions with supervisors regarding tasks.
  • Act as the primary contact for vehicle-owning clients, providing insights and updates.
  • Effectively communicate technical diagnostics and required repairs to non-technical personnel, including staff and customers, as needed.
  • Interpret test reports, maintenance and repair orders, and ensure the availability of parts and materials; synchronize workflow and manage vehicle cycles, ensuring accuracy in parts and materials.
  • Identify and diagnose issues using standard diagnostic tools or PIWIS diagnostic equipment; compile repair lists and generate performance charts, diagnostic, and error reports.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates for repairs, factoring in labor and parts.
  • Plan work procedures utilizing charts and technical manuals, ensuring quality checks and completeness of tasks based on procedural guidelines.
  • Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage or malfunctions.
  • Utilize checklists to guarantee thorough examination of critical components such as belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potential problem areas.
  • Collaborate closely with the Classic Team and PEC Workshop Team to meet Porsche Classic and Factory Restoration performance targets (KPIs), developing improvement plans as necessary.
  • Conduct cleaning and maintenance tasks as per schedule or as required for parts, vehicles, or workspaces.
  • Perform test drives, rectify deficiencies, and carry out final inspections of vehicles; implement safety protocols.
  • Guide and mentor junior or trainee technicians in their work.
  • Maintain ongoing training to comply with Porsche Classic Standards.

Qualifications

  • Preferred automotive technical degree.
  • Certification as a Porsche Gold, Silver, or Bronze Master Technician is advantageous.
  • Porsche Classic Technician Certification is a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Porsche Technician, with a focus on Classic Porsche Restoration and Repair.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Fluency in English (both oral and written).
  • Highly organized with a target-oriented approach, capable of working independently.
  • Ability to establish and meet ambitious deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A deep passion for Porsche vehicles.
  • Proficiency in the German language is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Classic range of Porsche vehicles.
  • Expertise in Porsche air-cooled engines.
  • Skilled in tire mounting and balancing.
  • Proficient in vehicle alignment using Hunter alignment equipment.
  • Familiarity with Porsche special tools, service equipment, and PIWIS Diagnostic systems.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience with CDK software is desirable.

Work Schedule:

  • Standard on-site hours from Monday to Friday.
  • Availability for weekends as required.
