Job Summary:

Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Weekender Flex Program. As a Weekender Flex RN, you will work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. This unique schedule allows you to enjoy personal time during the week while still receiving full-time status and benefits.

Responsibilities:

As a Weekender Flex RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients on the 5th Floor Medical-Surgical Unit. This unit provides perioperative and postoperative care to medical-surgical and orthopaedic patients. You will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, evaluating, updating, and revising patient care plans. You will also monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing and current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. You must also have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association and one year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. You must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and have corrected vision and hearing to normal range. You will be working under stressful conditions and irregular hours, and you may be exposed to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
