Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Unit as part of our Weekender Flex Program. This unique opportunity allows caregivers to enjoy a better work-life balance while providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients with medical and surgical conditions
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Monitor and record patients' conditions, administering prescribed medications and treatments as needed
  • Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, educating patients and their families on post-discharge care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting and handling of patients. The ideal candidate will possess corrected vision and hearing, with the ability to work under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
