**Job Summary**

McFarland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to lead our Sports Medicine/Family Medicine Departments in South Ames. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing daily operations, and overseeing staff scheduling and performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide direct patient care through nurse visits and complete departmental tasks within the electronic health record
  • Assist clinical staff in rooming patients and other daily tasks
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures
  • Ensure adherence to clinic-wide policies and procedures
  • Work with site physicians to deliver high-quality healthcare services
  • Oversee staff scheduling, daily operations, patient relations, and patient scheduling

**Requirements:**

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants or nursing
  • Certification or registration from an approved certifying organization for Medical Assistants
  • Possession of State Practical Nurse license or Registered Nurse license
  • Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
  • Mandatory Reporting of Dependent Adult and Child Abuse

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • 1 year of experience working in a physician's clinic
  • 1 year of management experience
