Occupational Safety Specialist

Safety Coordinator RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our Safety team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational safety, with a passion for creating a safe and compliant workplace.
This position oversees the safety of job sites and all staff, conducting risk assessments and enforcing preventative measures. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safety of job sites and personnel
- Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards
- Developing and implementing effective safety protocols and procedures
- Providing training and education on occupational health and safety best practices
- Assisting with incident investigations and corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate records of safety incidents and near misses
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of relevant construction experience
- 1-3 years of experience in instruction or teaching, including CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens training
Prior experience in occupational safety, hazard identification, and control would be an asset. Certification in OSHA 10 would also be beneficial.
