Position Overview:
The Financial Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accurate recording of Accounts Receivable and associated accounts. This role involves timely collection of A/R, cash flow management, and credit risk mitigation to minimize A/R write-offs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Management:
    Manage credit notes, including returns and Trade Term Off Invoices. Conduct credit investigations and prepare recommendations for credit reviews. Communicate potential insolvency or overdue situations to management.
  • Accounts Receivable Management:
    Facilitate cash collection and A/R reconciliation through effective communication with wholesale customers and retail staff. Prepare documentation for funding options to enhance cash flow.
  • Treasury Functions:
    Prepare daily cash flow statements and manage daily cash transactions. Reconcile monthly accounting modules with bank GL accounts.
  • Accounting Duties:
    Ensure accurate and timely entries in the SAP accounting module, focusing on accounts payable and fixed assets. Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Tax Compliance:
    Assist in preparing documentation for tax returns and support tax audits in accordance with local regulations.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Execute daily operations in line with established procedures and identify areas for improvement.

Key Relationships:
Collaborate with various internal teams including Customer Service, Financial Shared Services, and Group Auditors, as well as external partners such as auditors and tax authorities.

Qualifications:
University degree and relevant certifications in accounting. A minimum of five years of experience in financial operations, with a focus on credit control and accounting. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, particularly SAP, is essential. Fluency in Japanese and intermediate English communication skills are required.
