Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Classroom Support Specialist. This role will provide support to students with developmental disabilities and/or emotional and behavioral challenges in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers and assistant teachers with instruction and assessment of students
  • Implement behavioral plans and protocols as written
  • Use behavior management strategies and physical intervention procedures as trained
  • Support skill acquisition, daily living skills, and medical needs of students
  • Promote peer interactions and student independence
  • Modify tasks and materials to meet student needs
  • Collect and record data in a timely manner
  • Follow classroom routines and enact proactive classroom management strategies
  • Engage in classroom and team meetings, supervision meetings, and in-service trainings
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Full COVID vaccination and flu shot required
  • Previous experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferred
