Job Title: Clinical Nursing Support Specialist

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nursing Support Specialist to join our team at Williamson Health Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide clinical nursing support to our patients and businesses, communicating clinical information, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures, and maintaining adequate clinical supplies.

Responsibilities:
  1. Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs.
  2. Administer immunizations and injections as appropriate.
  3. Counsel patients on health-related issues.
  4. Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
  5. Coordinate referrals to other medical services.
  6. Secure consultations and specialists.
  7. Triage phone calls and address patient portal messages.
  8. Obtain prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing.
  9. Maintain quality assurance for office lab.
  10. Assist physician with office/surgical procedures.
  11. Observe universal precautions.
  12. Observe proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  13. Coordinate with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medicine.
Requirements:
  • Formal education/training: Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
  • Workplace experience: One year of experience in a medical office environment.
  • Equipment and skills training: Competent in the use of Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, autoclave, stethoscope, audioscope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications.
  • Physical environment: Office environment.
  • Physical effort: Must be able to sit, stand, communicate in English, both orally and in writing, and lift over 20 pounds.
