Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Nurse Supervisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delegating, supervising, and providing personal nursing care for residents, as well as leading the nursing staff to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees and participate in their ongoing training.
- Develop and communicate shift assignments for nursing staff and monitor job performance to ensure that staff are performing their work assignments within acceptable nursing standards.
- Ensure that all nursing staff follow established departmental policies and procedures.
- Keep the Director of Nursing and Unit Managers informed of staff, resident, family, and/or center concerns/needs and assist with solutions as needed.
- Review reports from other shifts and ensure follow-up as needed on resident care and related matters.
- Educate floor staff as needed.
- Medically assess referrals in intake as needed.
- Assist in scheduling as needed.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
- Current unencumbered licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Positive attitude.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- CPR and Handle With Care Certification (HWC certification will be provided upon hire).
- Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and other staff.
- More than one (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
- BLS training preferred.
