  • Process routine requests for medical records, including subpoenas, in a timely manner while adhering to operational guidelines and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Prepare, scan, index, and perform quality assurance reviews of patient documents in the electronic health record, identifying and reporting the use of unapproved forms and providing education to departments as needed.
  • Locate and track legacy records as required.
  • Coordinate the merge of medical records across systems and physical charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy, and maintaining the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) in accordance with policies and procedures.
Communication and Performance Management:
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, treating them with respect, kindness, and understanding, while maintaining confidentiality and honesty.
  • Ensure the delivery of business results by meeting or exceeding individual operating metrics and service level agreements.
  • Plan and organize work to achieve individual operating metrics and service level agreement objectives.
  • Recognize and communicate potential issues to team leaders as necessary.
  • Take responsibility for learning knowledge and skills required to perform job responsibilities effectively and stay up-to-date on relevant policies and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
