About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trauma Registrar at AtlantiCare. As a key member of our trauma program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient data, while also contributing to the development of quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, enter, and maintain patient data in our trauma registry, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret patient data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with trauma program managers and directors to ensure data accuracy and completeness, and to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and quality metrics.
  • Participate in performance improvement and patient safety initiatives, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one or more years of college with courses in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology preferred.
  • ICD-10-CM coding and AIS 2005 coding with 2008 update preferred.
  • Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS) certification required within 2 years from hire date.
  • Experience with data entry and database management, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Environment

This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, and crouching for extended periods, and may involve exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to department leadership, and is an active member of the Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Program.
