Based on the assessment findings, the following actions are taken:

  • Identification and prioritization of patient issues.
  • Setting of objectives for patient care and health enhancement.
  • Provision of educational resources to foster patient empowerment.

All licensed and certified healthcare providers meticulously document their assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations. Adherence to established standards and organizational policies is paramount in all patient care activities.

The Certified Respiratory Care Specialist actively engages in initiatives aimed at performance improvement and participates in ongoing educational opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications:

Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.

Certification:
  • Must hold a license from the State Board of Respiratory Care and be a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLSHCP) certification is required; additional certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are preferred.

Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications is advantageous at the time of hire; training will be provided within a specified timeframe following employment.
