Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist Level III to join our team in Vallejo, California. As a key member of our Imaging Services team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills to explain procedures to patients, reducing anxieties and ensuring patient cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring optimal views and comfort.
  • Adjust immobilization devices and determine exposure factors to produce high-quality images.
  • Operate radiologic equipment, including mobile units, to capture accurate and detailed images.
  • Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Process and review images for proper identification and quality control.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Orient new hires and train students as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years continuous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California).
  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California).
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California).
  • Basic Life Support.
