Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist Level III, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries by performing radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures. You will operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures, including fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Explain procedures to patients, reducing anxieties and obtaining cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified body areas.
  • Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, and body part involved.
  • Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patient bedsides.
  • Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologists or requesting physicians, ensuring proper identification and quality control.
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed.
  • Orient new hires and train students, ensuring a smooth transition into the role.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years continuous experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California).
  • Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California).
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California).
  • Basic Life Support.
