Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals and promoting their health, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients based on Individual Program Plans (IPPs)
  • Support clients in achieving their goals by participating in IPP development and implementation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients
  • Assist clients with personal care needs, such as grooming, bathroom needs, and meal preparation
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities as needed
  • Communicate daily with administrators and report any incidents or concerns
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving, preferably supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in various weather conditions
  • A valid California driver's license
  • Successful completion of a background check
