PROJECT SCOPE: The selected candidate will spearhead and engage in cloud-centric migration initiatives utilizing Informatica.

JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Informatica Developers are tasked with the design, programming, and coding of IT solutions. They are responsible for creating comprehensive system specifications, participating in unit testing, and maintaining both planned and unplanned internally developed applications. Additionally, they evaluate and conduct performance testing of third-party products. A key responsibility includes implementing IT Controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and the data they process. These developers are assigned to projects of moderate complexity and must be adept in data quality processes and governance to ensure data is suitable for use.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop data profiles, craft scripts, and create workflows to enhance the data quality initiative.
  • Conduct data analysis to pinpoint quality issues across both relational and non-relational data sources.
  • Code for moderately complex system architectures, creating programs that span multiple platforms and/or developing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
  • Enhance existing programs or create new applications through coding.
  • Review and provide feedback on code produced by fellow IT Developers.
  • Contribute to and promote programming standards.
  • Assist in formulating data quality standards and rules for various quality dimensions.
  • Draft detailed technical specifications for subsystems and identify integration points.
  • Report any deficiencies found in system and functional requirements, clarifying impacts on subsystems to team members.
  • Collaborate with other IT Developers, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Project Managers, and vendors.
  • Estimate time, resources, and other requirements necessary for programming projects, seeking reviews from peers.
  • Perform unit testing and debugging, establishing test conditions based on code specifications, and may require assistance for complex errors.
  • Support the transition of applications throughout the Product Development lifecycle, documenting migration requirements and coordinating subsystems.
  • Research vendor products and conduct gap analyses/comparisons.
  • Ensure adherence to IT Controls and corporate practices to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and processed data.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with unit testing, release procedures, coding design, documentation protocols, and change management.
  • Proficient in versioning and deployment tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Thorough understanding of IT fields and computer systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible team player with the ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Capacity to learn from feedback and improve performance.
  • Demonstrated initiative and effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Adaptability to a rapidly evolving environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of systems development life cycles, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in multiple object-oriented programming languages, scripting languages, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with standard desktop applications like MS Office Suite and flowcharting tools such as Visio.
  • Experience with debugging tools and job automation scheduling tools.
  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and propose solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Proficient in using Informatica Data Quality and Informatica Big Data Quality tools, including the ability to:
  1. Design, execute, and analyze profiling results.
  2. Master Informatica data transformation for address standardization and hierarchical file structures.
  3. Design and execute Mapplets and mappings.
  4. Manage Data Quality exception processes using human task workflows.
  5. Execute Informatica command line operations and configure WSDL.
  6. Monitor job execution, debug issues, and enhance performance.
  7. Understand Informatica application and service architecture.
  8. Manage repository configuration and functions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or relevant experience.
  • Relevant Development certifications are highly preferred.
  • 4+ years of related experience, with professional expertise in technical design and coding within the IT sector.
  • Strong experience with Informatica (version 10 preferred).
  • Experience leading substantial data migration projects is required.
