Senior Director of Labor Compliance and Development Leader

FDH Aero, a trusted global supply chain partner for aerospace and defense companies, seeks a seasoned Senior Director of Labor Compliance & Development to oversee compliance initiatives across diverse geographical locations.
Responsibilities- Develop Global HR Compliance Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive strategy that addresses regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Integrate compliance considerations into strategic business decisions.
- HR Compliance Oversight: Provide guidance on HR compliance matters for various regions, stay up-to-date on legislative changes, and ensure proactive compliance measures.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Compliance Risk Management: Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Training and Development: Ensure training materials are tailored to regional nuances and languages as needed.
- Audit and Monitoring: Establish processes for conducting regular audits and monitoring activities to assess HR compliance effectiveness.
- Investigations and Remediation: Oversee investigations into HR compliance violations and develop remediation plans to address identified issues.
- Data Privacy and Security: Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
- Third-Party Vendors: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in employment law, labor relations, and/or employee learning and development.
- In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations across the global regions.
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing HR policies, training programs, and compliance controls.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of effectively managing compliance investigations, audits, and remediation efforts.
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) or Compliance (e.g., CCEP) is a plus.
